American Institutions- POLS 1100 American Government and Politics
I am very happy that I decided to take this class this year, because it was an election year. What better time to take a government class? I found that learning more about politics gave me a better understanding about the election and really engaged me in the election process. Here is a persuasive essay I wrote during the semester. It talks about the electoral college, and my opinion on it.

I enjoyed writing this paper because I had never previously been interested in politics. In class, we learn what is in the text book, but this allowed me to read what was going on in the news and broaden my spectrum of different resources I can use to find political information. I found that I am much more interested in politics than I could have ever imagined before taking this class.
