Importance of Exercise
About two years ago, I began exercising regularly. Between my exercise program and biological science classes, I began to realize the importance of exercise and the issue our country is currently facing with obesity.
My brother was heading in the direction of an unhealthy lifestyle. Being only 21 years old, I wanted to try and help set him on the right path. My husband and I introduced him to raquetball and he loved it! It has been about one year since he has changed his lifestyle. He eats healthier and works out about three to five days a week. He has also lost a substantial amount of weight.
I think with my future career as a nurse, this can help me have the knowledge and encouragement for my patients with health concerns as these. In addition, it has made me want to get out there and find new ways to help people, and will benefit my future career.
